The PARKER 6-2 VTX-S is a steel 45-degree male elbow fitting designed for flared tube connections in high-pressure fluid and pneumatic systems. It accepts a 3/8-inch tube OD with a 37-degree flare angle and terminates in a 1/8-inch male NPTF thread, providing a leak-resistant metal-to-metal seal at both ends. Rated to 6,000 psi maximum working pressure and capable of handling temperatures up to 500 degrees F, this fitting is suited for demanding hydraulic, refrigeration, and instrumentation applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system technicians install this type of fitting during system fabrication or service.
This elbow fitting is used where a 45-degree directional change is needed in a flared tube assembly connected to a threaded port. Typical applications include hydraulic control lines, fuel systems, refrigeration circuits, and compressed air distribution where a Flare x MNPTF connection is required. The NPTF thread standard ensures a dry-seal connection without relying solely on thread sealant, making it appropriate for high-pressure and high-temperature service environments. It is packaged and sold as a single unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or system component for flared tube assemblies requiring a 45-degree male elbow with a 3/8-inch tube OD and 1/8-inch NPTF male thread connection.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with flared tube fitting assembly and threaded hydraulic or fluid system connections. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Inspect the flare seat and tube flare for damage before assembly, as a compromised seating surface will prevent proper sealing. Refer to SAE J514 and applicable system codes for proper assembly torque and tube preparation procedures.
