The PARKER 6-2 HBZ-SS is a compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tube lines in a single inline fitting. Built from stainless steel, this union provides a leak-resistant, mechanically secure connection suitable for high-pressure fluid and gas systems. It is rated to a maximum working pressure of 6600 psi, making it appropriate for demanding industrial, refrigeration, instrumentation, and hydraulic plumbing applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians typically install this fitting when a permanent or serviceable inline tube connection is required without welding or soldering.
This fitting suits residential and commercial applications where stainless steel corrosion resistance is required, including chemical process lines, compressed gas distribution, hydraulic instrument tubing, and high-pressure fluid transfer systems. The compression-by-compression end configuration allows connection of two same-diameter tube runs without threading either tube end. It is packaged individually and sold in single-unit quantities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation compression tube union for high-pressure instrumentation, hydraulic, and fluid transfer plumbing systems using compression-end tubing connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified instrumentation technician in accordance with applicable codes such as the IPC or ASME B31 piping standards. De-pressurize and isolate the tube line completely before removing or installing any fitting. Use the appropriate tube cutter and deburring tool to ensure a clean, square tube end before seating the compression ferrule. Do not over-tighten the compression nut, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
