Installation is performed by licensed pipefitters, plumbers, or instrumentation technicians following applicable IPC or ASME B31 piping codes. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing or installing any fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads before make-up; do not apply sealant to the compression end. Tighten the compression nut to manufacturer-recommended finger-tight-plus turns using two wrenches to prevent body rotation and tubing distortion.
