The PARKER 5FSC4N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube connector designed to join tubing to female NPT-threaded ports in high-pressure and extreme-temperature fluid or gas systems. The fitting transitions from a compression-style tube connection on one end to a 1/4-18 FNPT threaded connection on the other, providing a leak-tight, bite-type mechanical seal without the need for solder or flare tooling. Rated to 8,100 psi maximum working pressure, it handles temperatures from -425 degrees F to 1,200 degrees F, making it suitable for cryogenic, steam, hydraulic, and instrumentation applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers.

Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or instrumentation technicians following applicable codes such as ASME B31.1, B31.3, or facility-specific process piping standards. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before disassembling or installing any compression fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the FNPT port, then advance with a wrench per the fitting manufacturer's turn count guidance for the ferrule type. Do not overtighten, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal integrity.
