The PARKER 5BLP5-316 is a compression tube plug designed to terminate or dead-end tubing runs in high-pressure fluid and gas systems. Manufactured from stainless steel, this plug connects to 5/16 inch outside diameter tubing via a compression end connection with a 1/2-20 inch thread. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 8100 psi and handles an exceptionally wide temperature range, from -425 degrees F up to 1200 degrees F. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians install this fitting in process piping, hydraulic lines, and high-purity fluid systems where a secure, leak-free tube termination is required.
This compression plug is suited for industrial, commercial, and OEM applications where stainless steel corrosion resistance is necessary. Typical install scenarios include instrument tubing, chemical process lines, oil and gas instrumentation, and refrigeration or cryogenic circuits where extreme temperature and pressure conditions demand a reliable metal-to-metal compression seal. It is packaged individually and sold in single-unit quantities.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube plug for 5/16 inch OD tubing systems requiring a 1/2-20 inch threaded plug termination in stainless steel.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, plumber, or instrumentation technician following applicable system codes and manufacturer torque guidelines. Depressurize and isolate the tubing system completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Use appropriate tube preparation tools to ensure a clean, square tube cut for proper ferrule seating. Inspect ferrules and tube ends for damage before assembly to maintain pressure integrity.
