The PARKER 5 RTX-S is a steel flared tube male run tee designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid power lines. It provides a branch connection in a straight tube run while maintaining full flow through the run ports. The fitting uses a 37-degree flare seat on the tube ends paired with a male NPTF thread, creating a pressure-tight mechanical seal without sealant tape on the flare connections. Rated to 6000 psi maximum working pressure, it is suited for demanding service in hydraulic systems, fuel lines, and refrigeration circuits where leak-free performance is required. This tee fitting is used wherever a 5/16 inch OD tube line requires a lateral branch takeoff. The run ports accept 37-degree flared tube ends, and the branch port connects via 1/8 inch NPTF male thread to a female NPT port on a valve, manifold, or component body. Typical applications include hydraulic control circuits, lubrication systems, and pneumatic or fuel distribution lines in both stationary and mobile equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and refrigeration tube assemblies using 5/16 inch OD tubing with 37-degree flare connections and 1/8 inch NPTF ported components.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician, pipefitter, or licensed mechanic familiar with high-pressure fluid systems. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before disassembling any fittings. Flare connections rely on proper tube flaring to the correct 37-degree angle for a leak-free seal; do not overtighten, as this can damage the flare seat. NPTF threads are designed for dry-seal engagement, but always verify thread engagement count and inspect for galling before returning the system to service.
