The PARKER 5 JTX-S is a steel flared tube union designed for high-pressure fluid and gas line connections in hydraulic, pneumatic, and refrigeration tubing systems. It features a 37-degree flare angle with flare-by-flare-by-flare end connections, allowing technicians to join three tube runs at a single union point. The fitting accepts 5/16-inch tube OD and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 6000 psi and a maximum working temperature of 500 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system installers use this fitting where a reliable, leak-resistant flared connection is required under sustained pressure and elevated temperatures.
This union is suited for residential and commercial installations where steel flare fittings are specified for hydraulic lines, fuel lines, refrigerant tubing, or compressed-air systems. Its compliance with ISO 8434-2, SAE 070401, and SAE J514 makes it appropriate for OEM equipment assembly and field service repair. The compact overall length of 1.9 inches allows installation in tight-clearance tubing runs. It is sold and shipped as a single fitting.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and refrigerant tubing systems using 5/16-inch OD steel flare connections conforming to SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 specifications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or hydraulic systems technician familiar with flared tube fitting procedures. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disassembling any existing fittings. Use a calibrated flaring tool to produce a clean, consistent 37-degree flare on each tube end before assembly; an improper flare is the leading cause of joint leakage under pressure. Torque the fitting nuts to the tool or system manufacturer's specifications and inspect for leaks before returning the system to service.
