The PARKER 5 DTX-S is a steel flared tube female elbow fitting designed to connect flared tubing to female National Pipe Thread Fuel (NPTF) ports at a 90-degree angle. The fitting accepts 5/16-inch outside-diameter tubing with a 37-degree flare seat on one end and a female NPTF thread on the other. Rated for up to 5000 psi maximum working pressure, it is built for demanding hydraulic and fluid-power applications where a leak-free, high-pressure connection is required. Plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic system technicians install this fitting during assembly or maintenance of pressurized lines.
This elbow is suited for use in hydraulic circuits, fuel lines, and other high-pressure fluid systems that require a directional change at the tubing connection point. The female elbow configuration allows the fitting to thread directly into a port or manifold while accepting a flared tube on the opposing end, making it practical in tight-clearance installations where straight fittings cannot route tubing efficiently. It is appropriate for both industrial and mobile equipment applications where NPTF-ported components are standard.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for high-pressure hydraulic, fuel, and fluid-power systems requiring a 5/16-inch flare-to-FNPTF elbow connection point.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or qualified hydraulic technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Inspect the flare seat and NPTF threads for damage before assembly, and apply a suitable thread sealant on the NPTF end per manufacturer recommendations and applicable codes. Do not over-torque the fitting, as this can deform the flare seat and compromise the seal.
