The PARKER 5-2 FBZ-SS is a stainless steel compression tube connector designed for joining tubing to male NPT threaded ports in fluid and gas distribution systems. The fitting uses a compression-style end on one side and a male NPT thread on the other, creating a secure, leak-resistant connection without the need for solder or flare tooling. Rated to 8100 psi maximum working pressure, this connector is built for demanding hydraulic, instrumentation, and pneumatic applications where high-pressure integrity is critical. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation technicians working on high-pressure tubing assemblies are the primary installers.
This connector is suited for use in industrial instrumentation lines, process control tubing, hydraulic circuits, and high-pressure pneumatic systems. The 1/8 inch NPT male thread end mates with standard female NPT ports on manifolds, valves, gauges, and other threaded components. The compression end accepts tubing in the corresponding size range. Its stainless steel construction makes it a practical choice in corrosive environments, offshore applications, chemical processing, and anywhere carbon steel fittings would face accelerated degradation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for high-pressure compression tube assemblies using 1/8 inch male NPT threaded ports in industrial, HVAC, and instrumentation systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, pipefitter, or instrumentation technician familiar with compression fittings and NPT thread standards. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before disassembling any existing connections. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads per applicable piping codes before making up the joint. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as excessive force can damage the ferrule or tubing and compromise the seal.
