The PARKER 4MSEL8N-B is a brass compression tube male elbow fitting designed to create a reliable, leak-resistant 90-degree directional change in tubing runs. It connects compression tubing on one end to a male NPT threaded port on the other, making it a standard choice for gas, hydraulic, and fluid system plumbing in industrial, HVAC, and mechanical service applications. With a maximum working pressure rating of 3500 psi, it handles high-pressure service demands without special tooling. The all-brass construction resists corrosion in a wide range of fluid media. This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance trades.
This elbow fitting is used wherever a tubing run must change direction and terminate into a male NPT port. Common applications include refrigeration and HVAC copper tubing lines, compressed air systems, hydraulic control circuits, and fuel gas distribution in commercial and industrial settings. The compression end accepts standard OD tubing and creates a mechanical seal without soldering or brazing, making it well suited for service work and retrofits where open flame is not preferred or permitted. Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use in high-pressure fluid, gas, and hydraulic tubing systems that require a male NPT termination at the elbow. The Swagelok equivalent reference is B-400-2-8.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes and ASME or IFGC standards for the fluid or gas being conveyed. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before disassembling any fitting or tubing connection. Ensure tubing is cut square and deburred before inserting into the compression end to achieve a proper seal. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as excessive force can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
