The PARKER 4MSEL2N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube male elbow fitting designed to connect tubing to a male NPT threaded port at a 90-degree angle. It accepts a compression-style tube connection on one end and a 1/8-27 NPT male thread on the other, forming a leak-resistant, vibration-tolerant joint without welding or brazing. Rated to 10,300 psi maximum working pressure and capable of handling temperatures from -425 degrees F to 1,200 degrees F, this fitting is suited for high-pressure instrumentation, hydraulic, and process-fluid lines where stainless steel corrosion resistance is required. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians typically install this fitting in demanding service environments.
This elbow is used in residential and commercial applications where a direction change is needed between a compression tube run and a threaded port on a valve, manifold, gauge, or instrument body. Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or instrumentation technician in accordance with applicable codes such as ASME B31.3 for process piping. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disconnecting or installing any fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT male threads before engagement, and tighten to snug plus the appropriate number of turns per NPT practice — do not overtighten stainless fittings, as galling can occur. Ensure the compression tube end is cut square and fully seated before tightening the compression nut.
