The PARKER 4MSC1N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube connector designed to join a 1/4 inch OD compression tube to a 1/16-27 NPT male threaded port. Built from 316 stainless steel, it handles extreme service conditions with a maximum working pressure of 10,300 psi and a temperature range of -425 to 1,200 degrees F. This fitting is suited for high-pressure instrument tubing, process lines, and fluid system applications where corrosion resistance and leak-free performance are required. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians install this type of connector in both industrial and commercial systems.
This connector is commonly used in instrumentation, hydraulic, and pneumatic tubing systems where a transition from compression tube to a male NPT threaded fitting is needed. It is appropriate for high-purity gas lines, chemical process equipment, offshore and marine installations, and cryogenic service given its wide temperature range. The 316 stainless steel construction makes it a strong choice for corrosive or wet environments where carbon steel fittings would be unsuitable.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube connector for instrumentation and fluid system tubing with a 1/4 inch outside diameter and a 1/16-27 NPT male threaded port connection.
Installation is typically performed by licensed pipefitters, plumbers, or instrumentation technicians. Isolate and fully depressurize the system before disassembly or fitting installation. Follow applicable piping codes such as ASME B31.3 for process piping and ensure thread engagement meets NPT standard practices. Do not over-tighten compression fittings, as deformation of the ferrule can compromise the seal.
