The PARKER 4MBC8N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube bulkhead connector designed to route tubing through a panel, wall, or bulkhead partition while maintaining a secure, leak-resistant seal. It accepts 1/4-inch outside diameter tubing on the compression end and connects to a 1/2-14 NPT male thread on the opposite end. Rated to 10,300 psi maximum working pressure and capable of handling temperatures from -425 degrees F to 1,200 degrees F, this fitting suits demanding fluid and gas service in industrial, HVAC, instrumentation, and process piping applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers.
This fitting is used wherever tubing must pass through a bulkhead, panel, or enclosure wall and connect to an NPT-threaded port on the far side. Common applications include instrument tubing runs, hydraulic and pneumatic control lines, refrigeration and cryogenic service, and high-pressure process lines. The wide temperature range makes it appropriate for both cryogenic and high-heat environments. The 316 stainless steel construction resists corrosion in aggressive media including saltwater, acids, and chlorinated environments.
Designed as an OEM-style bulkhead fitting for 1/4-inch OD tubing systems using 1/2-14 NPT connections, suitable for use in instrumentation, process, and fluid-handling installations where a compression-to-MNPT bulkhead transition is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or instrumentation technician in accordance with applicable codes including ASME B31.1 or B31.3 for pressure piping. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing or installing any fitting. Ensure tubing is cut square, deburred, and inserted fully into the compression nut before tightening. Apply thread sealant appropriate for the service media to the NPT threads; do not over-tighten, as this can crack compression ferrules or damage threads.
