The PARKER 4FSC4N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube connector designed to join a compression tube end to a female NPT threaded port. It transitions between a 1/4-inch OD tube and a 1/4-18 NPT female threaded connection. Rated to a maximum working pressure of 10,300 psi and capable of handling temperatures from -425 degrees F to 1,200 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding service conditions. The 316 stainless steel construction provides strong resistance to corrosion and oxidation. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians typically install this connector in high-pressure fluid and gas systems where a leak-free mechanical connection is required.
This connector is well suited for use in industrial instrumentation, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process piping applications. Its wide temperature range makes it appropriate for cryogenic service as well as high-temperature process lines. The compression-by-FNPT configuration is a common arrangement when connecting tubing runs to threaded manifolds, valves, or panel-mount fittings. It is equally applicable in commercial and industrial settings where stainless steel is specified for corrosion resistance or cleanliness requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install fitting for systems requiring a 1/4-inch OD compression tube to 1/4-18 FNPT threaded port connection in stainless steel construction.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, plumber, or instrumentation technician familiar with compression fitting assembly procedures. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing or installing any fitting. Compression fittings require correct ferrule seating and should not be overtightened; follow the fitting manufacturer's recommended turn count after hand-tight. Verify thread sealant compatibility with the process fluid before applying to the NPT threads.
