The PARKER 48IFHD-3-2 is a brass inverted male flare connector designed to join 3/16-inch OD flared tubing to a male NPTF threaded port. The fitting uses a flare x MNPTF end connection, with a 1/8-27 NPTF thread on the male end. Rated to 1900 psi maximum working pressure and 250 degrees F maximum working temperature, this connector is built for demanding hydraulic and fluid-transfer applications. At 0.7 inches overall length and 0.02 pounds, it installs in tight spaces without compromising system integrity. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system mechanics regularly use this type of fitting in brake, fuel, and refrigerant line assemblies.
The PARKER 48IFHD-3-2 is suited for use in residential and light commercial fluid systems where 3/16-inch inverted flare tubing must connect to an NPTF-threaded port on a valve, manifold, or component body. Common applications include automotive brake lines, small-diameter hydraulic circuits, and fuel or refrigerant tubing runs. Inverted flare fittings are a standard configuration in SAE J51-compliant systems, and this connector meets that standard along with UL listing requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for fluid systems using 3/16-inch OD inverted flare tubing with a 1/8-27 NPTF male threaded connection point.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with flared-tubing systems. Depressurize and drain the line completely before removing or installing any fitting. Inspect the flare seat and tube end for damage before assembly; a damaged flare will not seal reliably. Tighten to snug plus a fraction of a turn by hand-feel — do not overtighten brass fittings, as the threads and flare seat can be damaged by excessive torque.
