The PARKER 48F-6-6 is a brass flared tube connector designed for use in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-transfer lines where a reliable, leak-resistant connection is required. It features a 45-degree flare seat and a male NPTF thread, providing a pressure-tight seal at both the flare and threaded end without relying solely on sealant. Rated to 1000 psi maximum working pressure and 250 degrees F maximum working temperature, this fitting is built for demanding service in refrigeration, HVAC, and industrial fluid systems. Installation is handled by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, or pipefitters.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC, refrigeration tubing runs, and industrial fluid lines where 3/8-inch OD tubing terminates at a male NPTF port. The Flare x MNPTF end configuration allows direct connection between a flared copper or brass tube and a female NPTF-threaded port on valves, manifolds, or equipment housings. Its compact 1.42-inch overall length makes it practical in tight installations with limited access.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 3/8-inch OD flared tubing with a 3/8-18 NPTF threaded port.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed HVAC technician, plumber, or pipefitter. Depressurize and isolate the line before disassembly. Ensure the tube end is cut square, deburred, and properly flared to a 45-degree seat before tightening to avoid leaks at the flare connection. NPTF threads are designed to seal on thread engagement, but verify system compatibility with thread sealants per the equipment manufacturer guidelines.
