The PARKER 48F-6-12 is a brass flared tube connector designed for use in hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, and fluid-transfer systems where a leak-free flared connection is required. It features a 45-degree flare seat on the tube end and a male NPTF (Dryseal) threaded end on the port side, creating a reliable metal-to-metal seal without sealant tape under normal conditions. The connector accepts 3/8 inch OD tubing and threads into a 3/4-14 NPTF port. Rated to 1000 psi maximum working pressure and 250 degrees F, it is suited for demanding service environments. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters install this fitting in both residential and commercial applications.
This connector is commonly used in refrigeration line sets, fuel systems, hydraulic circuits, and compressed-air plumbing where 45-degree SAE flare connections mate to NPTF-threaded ports. The Flare x MNPTF configuration makes it a transition fitting between flared tubing and pipe-threaded components. It is appropriate for use with copper, aluminum, and steel tubing that meets SAE J512 and SAE J513 flaring specifications. NPTF dryseal threads are designed to seal on thread engagement alone, but verify system requirements before deciding whether to apply thread sealant.
