The PARKER 41IFF-3 is a brass inverted piloted nut designed for flared tube connections in hydraulic, refrigeration, and fluid-system lines. It accepts a 3/16-inch tube OD with a 3/8-24 UNF thread and is rated for working pressures up to 1900 psi and temperatures up to 250 degrees F. The inverted piloted design ensures positive seat alignment on flared tube ends, reducing the chance of leakage at the connection point. At 0.56 inches overall length, this compact fitting is well suited to tight routing paths common in vehicle brake systems, HVAC refrigerant circuits, and light hydraulic plumbing. Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, or brake system specialists.
This fitting is used wherever a 3/16-inch OD flared tube must be secured with an inverted-style nut, such as in automotive brake lines, mobile equipment hydraulics, refrigeration tubing assemblies, and OEM fluid-handling systems. The SAE J51 rating and UL listing make it appropriate for applications where recognized industry standards are required. Its brass construction resists corrosion in a range of fluid media and provides reliable torque retention under vibration.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for flared tube assemblies using 3/16-inch OD tubing with 3/8-24 UNF inverted flare connections, per SAE J51 specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with flared tube fitting procedures. Depressurize and isolate the fluid circuit completely before removing or installing any fitting. Use a proper flaring tool to ensure the tube end meets SAE flare geometry before tightening the nut; overtightening can crack the flare or distort the seat. Follow applicable SAE, NEC, or system-specific torque guidance as required by the equipment manufacturer.
