The PARKER 41IF-6 is a brass inverted flare nut designed for use in flared tube connections requiring a secure, leak-resistant joint. It accepts 3/8 inch tube OD and threads onto a 5/8-18 UNF inverted flare fitting. Rated to 1000 psi maximum working pressure and up to 250 degrees F, this nut is built for demanding refrigeration, HVAC, and fluid-system applications. At 0.66 inches overall length and 0.03 pounds, it is a compact, direct-replacement component. HVAC technicians and plumbers install this fitting when servicing or assembling inverted flare tube assemblies in refrigerant lines, hydraulic circuits, and other pressurized systems.
This inverted flare nut is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration lines, and hydraulic tubing assemblies where SAE-standard inverted flare connections are specified. It is commonly installed wherever a 3/8 inch OD tube must mate with a 5/8-18 UNF inverted flare port or body. Its brass construction makes it compatible with copper and compatible alloy tubing in both new installations and service replacements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement inverted flare nut for 3/8 inch OD tube connections using 5/8-18 UNF thread in HVAC, refrigeration, and fluid-handling systems where SAE J51 inverted flare fittings are specified.
Installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians or plumbers. De-energize and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing any flare fitting. Use the appropriate flare nut wrench to avoid rounding the fitting; do not use pliers or adjustable wrenches on brass flare nuts. Verify tube flare condition and seat cleanliness before torquing to ensure a leak-free joint consistent with SAE J51 specifications.
