The PARKER 41IF-4 is a brass inverted flare tube nut designed for use in refrigeration, HVAC, and fluid-handling line connections where a secure, leak-resistant flare fitting is required. It accepts a 1/4-inch tube OD with a 7/16-24 UNF thread and is rated for working pressures up to 1400 psi and temperatures up to 250 degrees F. At 0.56 inches overall length, this compact nut threads onto inverted flare fittings to lock refrigerant or hydraulic lines in place. Licensed HVAC technicians and refrigeration mechanics install this type of fitting during line set assembly, service valve connections, and component replacement work.
The PARKER 41IF-4 is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and other fluid-handling applications requiring SAE J51 inverted flare connections. It is used wherever a 1/4-inch OD copper or steel line must be terminated at an inverted flare seat, including suction and liquid line repairs, appliance connections, and retrofit installations. The UL Listed rating and SAE J51 compliance make it appropriate for applications with defined safety and performance requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement inverted flare nut for systems using 1/4-inch OD tubing with 7/16-24 UNF inverted flare connections per SAE J51.
Installation of inverted flare fittings is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians or refrigeration mechanics. Before servicing any refrigerant line, recover refrigerant per EPA Section 608 requirements and depressurize the system fully. Inspect the tube end for proper flare geometry before threading the nut; a damaged or under-flared seat will not seal at rated pressure. Do not overtighten brass fittings, as the threads and flare seat can be damaged by excessive torque.
