The PARKER 41FL-3 is a brass flared tube long nut designed for use in flared tubing connections across hydraulic, refrigeration, fuel, and fluid-transfer systems. It threads onto a male flare fitting to secure a 45-degree flared tube end, creating a leak-resistant mechanical seal. The nut accepts 3/16 inch tube OD and features a 3/8-24 UNF thread. Rated to 1900 psi maximum working pressure and a maximum working temperature of 250 degrees F, this fitting is suited for moderate- to high-pressure service in demanding environments. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and fluid-systems mechanics are the typical installers.
This long nut is used wherever a 45-degree SAE flare connection must be made or remade in tight-clearance installations where a longer nut body aids thread engagement or torquing. Common applications include refrigerant line sets, fuel delivery tubing, hydraulic instrument lines, and low-diameter copper or steel tubing assemblies in both residential and light commercial equipment. The 3/16 inch tube OD and 3/8-24 UNF thread size are standard in many OEM and aftermarket flare fittings in these systems.
Designed for use with 45-degree SAE flare fittings per SAE J512 and SAE J513 standards, accepting 3/16 inch OD tubing with a 3/8-24 UNF male thread counterpart. UL Listed.
Installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, or fluid-systems mechanics. Always depressurize and evacuate the line before disassembling or installing any flare fitting. Ensure the tube end is properly flared to the correct 45-degree angle using a calibrated flaring tool before threading the nut; an improperly flared tube will result in leaks regardless of thread torque. Refer to SAE J512 and SAE J513 specifications for proper assembly practices.
