The PARKER 41FL-10 is a brass flared tube long nut designed for use in flare-fitting assemblies on refrigeration, HVAC, and fluid-handling lines. It threads onto a mating flare fitting body to secure a 5/8-inch OD tube with a 45-degree flare seat. The 7/8-14 UNF thread provides a precise, leak-resistant mechanical connection. Rated to 650 psi maximum working pressure and 250 degrees F maximum working temperature, this long nut handles the demands of refrigerant lines, fuel systems, and hydraulic tubing where a standard short nut will not reach. Fabricated from brass for corrosion resistance and compatibility with a wide range of media.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and fluid-power applications where 45-degree flare connections per SAE J512 and SAE J513 are specified. It is a standard component in compression and flare plumbing assemblies installed by HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, and plumbers working on copper or soft-alloy tubing runs. The long-nut body provides additional thread engagement compared to a standard nut, which is useful in tight or recessed fitting configurations.
Designed for use with 5/8-inch OD tubing in 45-degree flare fitting assemblies conforming to SAE J512 and SAE J513 standards.
Installation is performed by a qualified HVAC technician, refrigeration mechanic, or licensed plumber. Depressurize and purge the system before disassembling any flare connection. Use a properly sized flaring tool to form the 45-degree seat on the tube end before threading the nut; a damaged or incomplete flare will cause leaks. Hand-tighten first, then torque with a properly sized open-end or flare-nut wrench — do not use pipe wrenches or adjustable wrenches, which can damage the hex and distort the flare seat.
