The PARKER 4 X6EF-S is a steel flared tube swivel elbow connector designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid system plumbing. It provides a 90-degree swivel elbow connection using a 37-degree flare seat on one end and a male NPTF threaded end on the other, allowing technicians to route tubing lines at an angle without introducing stress or misalignment into the assembly. Rated to 6000 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting is suited for demanding fluid power and instrumentation applications. The swivel design simplifies installation by allowing the flare end to rotate freely before final tightening. Hydraulic and fluid power technicians are the primary installers for this type of fitting.
This connector is used in hydraulic systems, instrumentation lines, refrigeration tubing circuits, and compressed air plumbing where a 1/4 inch OD tube must transition to a 1/8 inch NPTF male thread at a right angle. It is appropriate for both light industrial and mobile equipment applications where a secure, leak-resistant connection is required at a tube-to-port junction. The 37-degree flare standard is common in hydraulic and instrumentation fittings across a wide range of OEM and aftermarket fluid system builds.
Designed for use with 1/4 inch OD flared tubing and 1/8 inch NPTF male thread ports. Compatible with systems using 37-degree flare fittings per SAE standards common in hydraulic, instrumentation, and fluid power plumbing.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic or fluid systems technician. Depressurize and isolate the system fully before removing or installing any fittings. Inspect the flare seat and tube flare for damage before assembly, as defects in the seating surface can compromise the seal. Follow the applicable system design specifications and relevant fluid power standards for fitting assembly procedures.
