The PARKER 4 TX-S is a steel flared tube sleeve designed for use in flare-type hydraulic and fluid system connections. This sleeve fits over a 1/4 inch OD tube and supports a 37-degree flare angle at the end connection. It is used to reinforce the tube end during flaring and assembly of JIC-style fittings. The part weighs 0.01 pounds and measures 0.41 inches in overall length. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic system technicians typically install this component in high-pressure fluid lines, instrumentation tubing, and refrigeration circuits where a reliable flare seal is required.
This sleeve is suited for both industrial and commercial fluid handling applications where steel construction is needed to withstand elevated temperatures and working pressures. It is used in conjunction with flare nuts and fittings to create leak-free connections in hydraulic lines, fuel systems, and refrigeration tubing. The 37-degree flare angle conforms to SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 standards, making it compatible with standard JIC flare fitting assemblies used across a wide range of stationary and mobile equipment platforms.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation sleeve for 1/4 inch OD steel tubing systems using 37-degree JIC flare fittings per SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2.
Installation is performed by qualified pipefitters, hydraulic technicians, or refrigeration mechanics. Before assembly, depressurize and drain the fluid line completely. The sleeve must be placed on the tube before flaring the tube end. Do not reuse a sleeve that has been previously flared or shows visible deformation, as this can compromise the seal integrity of the connection.
