The PARKER 4 DTX-S is a 90-degree female elbow fitting designed for flared tube connections in high-pressure fluid and pneumatic systems. It connects a 37-degree JIC-style flare on the tube side to a female NPTF thread on the port side, creating a leak-resistant mechanical seal. Machined from steel, the fitting handles working pressures up to 5000 psi and temperatures up to 500 degrees F. It is sized for 1/4 inch tube OD with 1/8 inch NPTF female thread. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic system technicians install this type of fitting in industrial and commercial applications.
This elbow fitting is used wherever a tube line must change direction and terminate at a threaded port in a 90-degree orientation. Typical applications include hydraulic control circuits, refrigeration and HVAC line sets, fuel systems, and pneumatic assemblies where a 37-degree flare connection and NPTF thread seal are specified. The compact steel construction suits tight panel or manifold installations where space is limited. It is sold individually and is suitable for both new installations and field repairs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/4 inch OD tubing with 37-degree flare ends and 1/8 inch NPTF female port connections, per SAE J514 specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, hydraulic technician, or licensed plumber. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Inspect the flare seat and tube flare for damage before assembly, as a compromised seating surface will prevent a proper seal. Torque to the fitting manufacturer and system designer specifications; do not overtighten steel fittings as this can damage the flare seat.
