The PARKER 4-8 DBZ-SS is a compression tube female elbow fitting manufactured in stainless steel. It connects a 1/4-inch OD compression tube to a 1/2-inch FNPT female pipe thread port, redirecting tubing at a 90-degree angle within a system. This fitting is rated to a maximum working pressure of 10,300 psi, making it suitable for high-pressure instrumentation, hydraulic, and process fluid applications. The stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance in aggressive service environments. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians install this type of fitting in industrial, commercial, and OEM fluid system assemblies.
This fitting is applied in systems requiring a compact 90-degree direction change between small-bore compression tubing and a female NPT threaded port. Typical installations include instrument tubing runs, process control panels, pneumatic circuits, and high-pressure fluid distribution manifolds. The compression-by-FNPT configuration allows direct connection to valves, gauges, transmitters, or manifold blocks with a female pipe thread inlet. It is well suited for both new construction and retrofit service in industrial and commercial facilities.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube fitting for use in high-pressure instrumentation and process fluid systems requiring a 1/4-inch OD compression to 1/2-inch FNPT female elbow connection in stainless steel.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or instrumentation technician familiar with compression fitting assembly procedures. Depressurize and isolate the system fully before disassembly or installation. Compression fittings require proper tube preparation including a clean, square-cut tube end and correct ferrule seating to achieve a leak-free connection. Thread engagement with the FNPT port should follow applicable piping codes such as ASME B1.20.1 for tapered pipe threads.
