The PARKER 4-2 HBZ-B is a brass compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tube lines in a single inline fitting. It provides a leak-resistant, metal-to-metal seal rated to 3500 psi maximum working pressure. The fitting measures 1.52 inches in overall length and is manufactured from brass meeting ASME-SB75 and ASTM-B75 material standards. It is suited for hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation tubing systems where a secure union connection is required. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers of this fitting in both industrial and commercial applications.
This compression union is used wherever two tube runs must be joined without welding or flaring. Common install scenarios include instrument tubing panels, process lines, and hydraulic manifold assemblies in commercial and industrial facilities. The compression x compression end configuration allows connection from both sides using standard compression ferrules. At 0.06 pounds, the fitting is lightweight and suited for confined-space tubing runs where a compact union is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube union for instrumentation, hydraulic, and process tubing systems using standard compression-style fittings. The Swagelok equivalent reference is B-400-6-2.
Installation is performed by a licensed pipefitter or instrumentation technician. Depressurize and isolate the tubing system completely before disassembling any fitting. Use appropriate tube wrenches to seat compression ferrules without over-tightening, which can deform ferrules and compromise the seal. Follow applicable ASME and facility piping codes when installing fittings in pressurized systems.
