The PARKER 3MSC4N-316 is a straight compression tube connector designed to join compression tubing to a male NPT threaded port in a single, leak-resistant fitting. Constructed from 316 stainless steel, it handles a maximum working pressure of 10,300 psi and an extreme temperature range of -425 degrees F to 1,200 degrees F, making it well-suited for demanding process, instrumentation, and fluid-handling applications. The straight geometry keeps plumbing runs clean and compact. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the primary installers of this type of fitting in industrial and commercial environments.
This fitting is used in high-pressure instrumentation lines, process tubing systems, hydraulic circuits, and specialty gas distribution where stainless steel construction and NPT thread compatibility are required. The compression end grips tubing mechanically without brazing or welding, allowing field assembly with standard hand tools. It is appropriate for both residential and commercial applications wherever a reliable compression-to-MNPT transition is needed, including HVAC refrigerant sensing lines, chemical process piping, and hydraulic instrument tubing.

Installation is typically performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or instrumentation technician. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembling or installing any compression fitting. Use appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape on the NPT threads in accordance with the applicable piping code. Do not over-tighten the compression nut; follow the fitting manufacturer's recommended turn count from finger-tight to avoid damaging the ferrule or tubing.
