The PARKER 3GF-4 is a brass flared tube seal bonnet designed to cap or seal a 1/4-inch OD flared tube end in refrigeration, HVAC, and fluid-system plumbing applications. It threads onto a standard 45-degree SAE flare fitting, providing a leak-tight closure rated to 1400 psi maximum working pressure and 250 degrees F maximum working temperature. The all-brass construction resists corrosion and holds up in both liquid and gas service. HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, and plumbers install this bonnet when a flare port needs to be temporarily or permanently sealed during system maintenance, pressure testing, or equipment changeover.
This seal bonnet is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration lines, hydraulic circuits, and pneumatic plumbing where a 45-degree SAE flare connection is present. It is commonly used on service valves, manifold ports, and branch-line terminations. The 1/4-inch tube OD sizing covers the flare end directly, making it straightforward to apply on standard refrigerant or compressed-air lines without additional adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement seal bonnet for any system using standard 45-degree SAE flare fittings with 1/4-inch tube OD connections, per SAE J512 and SAE J513 specifications.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, or plumbers. Before installing or removing a seal bonnet on a live system, relieve system pressure and follow all applicable safety procedures. Use an appropriately sized flare wrench to avoid rounding the bonnet hex; do not overtighten. Verify the mating flare surface is clean and free of damage before seating the bonnet.
