The PARKER 3BLP3-316 is a compression tube plug designed to seal off tubing ends in high-pressure instrumentation and fluid-handling systems. Manufactured from 316 stainless steel, it delivers excellent corrosion resistance and handles a maximum working pressure of 10300 psi across an extreme temperature range of -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F. The compression end connection creates a leak-tight seal without welding or threading into the tube itself. This fitting is typically installed by instrumentation technicians, pipefitters, and plumbers working in demanding process, industrial, or HVAC applications where a reliable tube termination is required.
This plug is suited for use in high-pressure tubing systems found in industrial process lines, instrumentation manifolds, hydraulic circuits, and refrigeration or cryogenic piping. The 3/8-20 thread size and NPT thread standard make it compatible with standard port configurations. Its stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for corrosive environments, sanitary systems, and installations requiring broad temperature tolerance from cryogenic to high-heat service.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube plug for use in high-pressure tubing systems utilizing 3/8-20 NPT threaded ports with compression-style end connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, instrumentation technician, or plumber. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any compression fittings. Follow applicable codes such as ASME B31.3 for process piping when determining installation requirements. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as excessive force can damage the ferrule or tube end and compromise the seal.
