The PARKER 39R30S is a string-wound depth-style cartridge filter designed for plumbing and industrial liquid filtration applications. It measures 30 inches in length with a 2.5-inch outside diameter and delivers 1-micron filtration to capture fine sediment, dirt, and particulate from water and compatible process fluids. The filter body is wound from FDA-grade cotton over a stainless steel core, giving it solid structural integrity up to 250 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers. The stainless steel core prevents collapse under pressure, and the cotton media provides broad chemical compatibility for potable water and light-duty process lines.
This filter is suited for residential and light commercial water treatment systems, point-of-entry sediment reduction, and industrial process filtration where sub-micron particulate control is required. The 1-micron rating makes it appropriate for pre-filtration ahead of carbon blocks, RO membranes, or UV disinfection systems. Its 30-inch length fits standard Big Blue or comparable 30-inch filter housings commonly used in high-flow residential and small commercial installations. FDA-grade cotton media makes it acceptable for potable water service.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service cartridge for standard 30-inch Big Blue and comparable large-format filter housings used in residential and light commercial plumbing filtration systems.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing o-ring and replace it if cracked or deformed before reinstalling the housing sump. Torque the housing sump to the manufacturer specification printed on the housing body, and restore pressure gradually while checking for leaks.
