The PARKER 39R10A is a string-wound cartridge filter designed for plumbing filtration applications where fine particulate removal is required. Built from FDA-grade cotton wound over a polypropylene plastic core, this filter measures 2.5 inches in outside diameter and 10 inches in length. It is rated at 1 micron, making it suitable for high-clarity filtration of sediment, dirt, and fine particles in water supply systems. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians install this filter in standard filter housings as part of point-of-entry or point-of-use filtration setups.
The 39R10A is used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems where fine sediment control is critical. Its string-wound construction provides graduated density filtration, capturing larger particles in the outer layers while trapping finer particles closer to the core. The cotton media and polypropylene core are rated for water service up to 120 degrees F, making it appropriate for cold and warm water supply lines. This filter is a direct drop-in for standard 10-inch filter housings with a 2.5-inch diameter cartridge bore.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard 10-inch plumbing filter housings accepting a 2.5-inch outside diameter string-wound cartridge.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing or replacing the cartridge. Inspect the housing o-ring for wear and replace if needed before reinstalling the housing cap. Do not exceed the rated maximum working temperature of 120 degrees F.
