The PARKER 393PSS-4-4 is a through type tube insert designed for use with compression fittings in fluid and gas line assemblies. Manufactured from 316 stainless steel, this insert reinforces the tubing wall at the compression joint, preventing collapse and maintaining a reliable seal under pressure. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi. The insert installs inside the tube end before the compression fitting is made up, supporting the tube against the ferrule load. Plumbers, instrumentation technicians, and industrial pipefitters install this type of component in both commercial and light industrial settings.
This insert is suited for compression-style tube connections where tube wall integrity is critical, particularly in stainless steel tubing runs carrying liquids or gases. It is used in plumbing, instrumentation, pneumatic, and hydraulic lines where a compression x compression configuration is required. The 316 stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for corrosive or high-purity environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for compression tube fittings requiring an internal support insert in matching tube outer diameter applications.
Installation is performed by plumbers or instrumentation technicians following applicable IPC and instrument tubing standards. Depressurize and isolate the line before disassembling any compression fitting. Insert the support insert fully into the tube end before seating the ferrule and nut. Do not over-torque the compression nut, as this can deform the insert or damage the tubing.
