The PARKER 369PTCSP-4-4 is a push-to-connect plug-style tube fitting designed to seal off a 1/4 inch OD pneumatic or fluid line without tools. The fitting body is constructed from brass with Buna-N seals and a nylon retaining collar, forming a leak-resistant plug connection rated to 250 psi. It connects by inserting the tube end directly into the fitting body, which locks and seals in one motion. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and fluid-system service pros use this type of plug when capping an unused port or temporarily or permanently decommissioning a branch line during service or system modification.
This fitting is suited for use in compressed air lines, pneumatic control circuits, and fluid distribution systems that run 1/4 inch OD tubing. It is appropriate for both residential and light commercial applications. The DOT FMVSS571.106, SAE J2494-3, and SAE J844 ratings make it acceptable for use in vehicle brake and air systems as well as stationary HVAC and plumbing pneumatic circuits. Typical install scenarios include sealing branch ports on manifolds, capping unused push-connect fittings on equipment being reconfigured, and closing off supply lines during staged commissioning.
Designed for use with 1/4 inch OD tubing in push-to-connect pneumatic and fluid systems meeting SAE J844 and SAE J2494-3 specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with pneumatic or fluid line work. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing or capping any fitting. Ensure tubing ends are cut square and deburred before inserting into the fitting to achieve a proper seal. Verify that all connections are rated for the system operating pressure before returning the circuit to service.
