The PARKER 36096018 is a push-to-connect tube-to-male NPT tube fitting designed for quick, tool-free connections in fluid and gas systems. Constructed from nickel-plated brass, this straight union-style fitting accepts 3/8-inch outside-diameter tubing on each tube port and threads into a 3/8-inch NPT male port. It carries a maximum working pressure rating of 435 psi, making it suitable for moderate-pressure liquid and gas lines. The FKM O-ring seat provides reliable sealing across a broad range of media. This fitting is commonly installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors during system assembly or service.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial mechanical systems where a push-to-connect interface must transition to a threaded NPT male port. Typical applications include compressed air distribution, refrigerant-side instrumentation lines, gas pilot supply tubing, and general hydraulic or pneumatic control plumbing. It accepts both liquid and gas service, making it versatile across HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing trade work. The push-to-connect design reduces assembly time in tight spaces where wrenching a compression fitting is impractical.
Designed for use with 3/8-inch outside-diameter tubing in liquid and gas service systems. Compatible with NPT-threaded pipe ports rated for use with push-to-connect brass fittings.
Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure tubing ends are cut cleanly and deburred so the push-to-connect collet seats properly and the O-ring is not damaged on insertion. Thread the NPT male end into the female port using an appropriate sealant or thread tape per applicable plumbing or mechanical codes. To release tubing, depress the collet ring evenly while pulling the tube straight out — do not pull at an angle.
