The PARKER 329HB-8-12N is a single-barb male elbow fitting designed to connect flexible tubing to a 3/4 inch NPT male thread at a 90-degree angle. Constructed from white nylon, this fitting accepts tubing with a 1/2 inch inside diameter and a 0.55 inch outside diameter. It carries a maximum working pressure of 125 psi and an operating temperature range of -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of fluid-handling applications. It meets FDA compliance and NSF/ANSI 51 certification standards, covering food-equipment and potable-water contact requirements. Licensed plumbers and refrigeration or water-treatment technicians are the typical installers.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, water treatment, pool and spa equipment, and food-service fluid systems where a barbed elbow transition to NPT pipe thread is needed. The single-barb configuration is intended for use with compatible flexible tubing secured by a hose clamp or crimp ring. Applications commonly include ice machine water lines, filtration system connections, and similar low-to-moderate pressure potable fluid circuits.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch ID flexible tubing systems terminating at a 3/4 inch NPT male threaded port in potable water, food-service, or fluid-handling applications.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or qualified technician. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before disconnecting or installing any fitting. Apply thread sealant tape to the NPT threads per standard plumbing practice and applicable IPC guidelines. Secure the barbed end with an appropriately sized hose clamp or crimp ring to prevent pull-off under pressure.
