The PARKER 325HB-8-6N is a single-barb male connector designed to join 1/2-inch ID flexible tubing to a 3/8-inch NPT threaded port. Molded from white nylon, this fitting meets FDA compliance and NSF/ANSI 51 standards, making it appropriate for food-equipment and potable-water applications. It handles working pressures up to 125 psi and operates across a temperature range of -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. At 1.6 inches in overall length and weighing just 0.01 pounds, it installs quickly in tight spaces. Plumbers, refrigeration technicians, and food-service equipment installers will find this fitting suited to a wide range of light-duty fluid-transfer lines.
This connector is used in residential and commercial applications wherever flexible tubing must terminate at a male NPT threaded fitting. Typical install scenarios include ice maker supply lines, beverage dispensing equipment, water filtration systems, and other potable-water or food-contact fluid circuits that require a secure barb-to-thread transition. The nylon construction resists corrosion and is compatible with a broad range of non-aggressive water-based fluids. It is not intended for high-pressure hydraulic or steam service.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for flexible tubing systems using 1/2-inch inside diameter tubing and 3/8-inch NPT threaded ports in food-service, water filtration, and related light-duty fluid-transfer applications.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or qualified refrigeration or food-service equipment technician. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before installing or removing any fittings. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT male threads per applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Do not overtighten nylon fittings; hand-tight plus a modest wrench turn is generally sufficient to prevent cracking the fitting body.
