The PARKER 325HB-6-8N is a single-barb male tube connector designed for low-pressure fluid and gas line connections in plumbing, HVAC, and general industrial applications. Molded from white nylon, this fitting accepts 3/8 inch tube ID with a 0.43 inch OD on the barb end and threads into a 1/2 inch NPT female port on the mating component. It is rated to 125 psi maximum working pressure and handles temperatures from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F, making it suitable for a broad range of service environments. The fitting meets FDA compliance and NSF/ANSI 51 standards, which qualifies it for use in food-equipment and potable-water-adjacent applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and equipment service technicians typically install this fitting.
This connector is commonly used in residential and light commercial systems where a tubing run must transition to a threaded pipe port. Typical applications include ice maker lines, refrigeration drain connections, water treatment equipment, food service equipment plumbing, and HVAC condensate or fluid-handling assemblies. The single-barb design relies on a hose clamp or interference fit to secure the tubing. Its nylon construction resists corrosion and is compatible with a wide range of non-aggressive fluids. NSF/ANSI 51 certification makes it appropriate for incidental food-contact and potable-water-adjacent installations where material compliance is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 3/8 inch ID tubing with 1/2 inch NPT threaded ports in plumbing, HVAC, food service, and water treatment equipment.
Installation is performed by plumbers or HVAC technicians following applicable IPC and IFGC guidelines. Shut off fluid supply and relieve system pressure before disassembling or installing any fitting. Apply PTFE thread tape or an approved pipe sealant to the NPT threads before hand-tightening, then wrench-tighten to achieve a leak-free seal without over-stressing the nylon body. Secure the barb end with an appropriately sized hose clamp and verify there are no leaks before returning the system to service.
