The PARKER 325HB-4-8N is a single-barb male connector designed to join 1/4-inch ID flexible tubing to a 1/2-inch NPT male thread. Molded from white nylon, this fitting is rated for working pressures up to 125 psi and handles temperatures from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. It carries FDA Compliant and NSF/ANSI 51 certifications, making it appropriate for food-equipment and potable-water applications. The barbed end accepts tubing with a 0.31-inch outside diameter, and the 1.73-inch overall length keeps the installed footprint compact in tight plumbing runs.
This connector is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, food-service equipment, water filtration systems, and ice-maker supply lines where a secure push-and-barb connection to NPT-threaded ports is required. It is also found in HVAC condensate drain assemblies and pool or spa chemical feed systems that use flexible tubing. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and food-equipment service technicians are the primary installers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/4-inch ID flexible tubing terminating at a 1/2-inch NPT threaded port.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician following IPC or applicable local plumbing codes. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads and hand-tighten before using a wrench to snug the connection — do not overtighten nylon fittings, as the threads can crack. Push tubing fully onto the barb until it seats against the fitting shoulder for a leak-free joint.
