The PARKER 325HB-10-8PP is a single-barb male connector fitting designed to join barbed tubing to a threaded pipe or port. It features a 5/8-inch barb sized for tubing with a 5/8-inch inside diameter and a 0.66-inch outside diameter. The male end threads into a 1/2-inch NPT female port. Constructed from black polypropylene, this fitting meets FDA compliance and NSF/ANSI 51 standards, making it suitable for use in food-equipment and potable-water adjacent applications. It handles pressures up to 125 psi and operating temperatures from 0 degrees F to 212 degrees F. Plumbers, pipefitters, and equipment service technicians install this fitting in low-pressure fluid systems.
This connector is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, food-service equipment, water treatment systems, and fluid-handling assemblies where a barbed tubing connection must transition to a threaded NPT port. The single-barb design grips flexible tubing securely when a hose clamp or clamp ring is applied over the barb. Its polypropylene construction resists many common water-based fluids and mild chemicals at moderate temperatures.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for fluid-handling systems using 5/8-inch ID flexible tubing and 1/2-inch NPT threaded ports in plumbing, food-service, and water-treatment applications.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter. Shut off fluid supply and relieve system pressure before installation. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT male threads per IPC guidelines before threading into the female port; do not overtighten polypropylene fittings. Secure the barbed end with an appropriately sized hose clamp or clamp ring over the tubing to prevent pull-off under pressure.
