The PARKER 322HB-10-8N is a single-barb tube union connector designed to join two lengths of flexible tubing in fluid transfer applications. Molded from white nylon, this fitting connects tubing with a 5/8-inch ID on one end and a 1/2-inch ID on the other, making it a reducing union for mixed-size tubing runs. It carries an overall length of 1.73 inches and handles working pressures up to 125 psi. The fitting is rated for temperatures from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of process and potable-water environments. It is FDA compliant and certified to NSF/ANSI 51, meaning it is approved for contact with food-equipment fluid circuits. Licensed plumbers and refrigeration or process-equipment technicians are the typical installers.
This connector is used in applications where two dissimilar-diameter flexible tubes must be joined without threading or tools. Common install scenarios include food-service equipment, beverage dispensing systems, water filtration assemblies, and light-duty fluid transfer lines in commercial or industrial settings. The NSF/ANSI 51 certification makes it appropriate for food-zone fluid circuits where material compliance is required by code or specification. It is not intended for high-pressure hydraulic or fuel-line service.
Designed for use with flexible tubing having a 5/8-inch inside diameter on one side and a 1/2-inch inside diameter on the other, with corresponding outside diameters of 0.66 inches and 0.55 inches respectively. Suitable for nylon, polyethylene, and similar flexible tubing types commonly used in food-service and water-treatment equipment.
Installation does not require tools beyond a tubing cutter to square the tube ends before insertion. Ensure the tubing is fully seated past the barb to prevent pull-out under pressure. Power down or depressurize the fluid circuit completely before disconnecting or installing any fitting. Follow all applicable plumbing codes and equipment manufacturer guidelines for tubing material compatibility and maximum working pressure limits.
