The PARKER 318P-8N is a 1/2 inch nylon plastic pipe plug designed to seal male pipe thread (MPT) end connections in fluid and gas distribution systems. Molded from white nylon, this plug threads directly into a female-threaded port to close off unused or temporary openings. It is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and rated to FDA and NSF-51 standards, making it suitable for use in food-contact and potable-water adjacent applications. Plumbers, pipefitters, and system installers use this type of plug during pressure testing, system commissioning, or permanent port closure.

This plug is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, irrigation, and fluid-handling systems where a 1/2 inch female NPT port needs to be capped or blanked off. Installation Notes
