The PARKER 3 STX-S is a steel male branch tee fitting designed for flared tube hydraulic and fluid power connections. It uses a 37-degree flare seat with Flare x MNPTF end connections, conforming to SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 standards. The fitting accepts 3/16 inch tube OD and uses a 1/8 inch NPTF thread on the male branch end. Rated to 6000 psi maximum working pressure dynamic and capable of handling temperatures up to 500 degrees F, this fitting is suited for high-pressure fluid lines found in hydraulic systems, fuel lines, and instrumentation circuits. Licensed plumbers, millwrights, and hydraulic system technicians are the typical installers.
This fitting is used in applications requiring a branch takeoff from a main flared tube line while also connecting to a threaded port. Common install scenarios include mobile hydraulic equipment, industrial machinery, and fuel system fabrication where a tee junction must transition between a flared tube circuit and an NPTF-threaded component. The overall length of 1.66 inches makes it compact enough for tight routing applications in both OEM and service environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for hydraulic and fluid power systems using 3/16 inch OD flared tubing with SAE 37-degree flare connections and 1/8 inch NPTF threaded ports.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician, millwright, or licensed plumber. Depressurize and drain the system fully before removing or installing any fittings. Inspect the flare seat and tube flare for nicks or deformation before assembly, as seat damage will prevent a proper seal at rated pressure. Torque fittings according to the tube OD and fitting material specifications published in SAE J514 or the system manufacturer guidelines.
