The PARKER 3 HP5ON-S is a hex socket plug designed for industrial hydraulic and pneumatic plumbing applications. It uses a male straight thread O-ring connection with a 3/8-24 UN/UNF-2A thread standard to create a leak-resistant seal at rated pressure. Constructed from zinc-plated steel, the plug is rated for a maximum working pressure of 6,000 psi. The hex socket drive allows installation with a standard hex key in confined spaces where a wrench cannot reach. This type of fitting is installed by hydraulic technicians, millwrights, and fluid-power mechanics on industrial equipment, machine tools, and mobile hydraulic systems.
This plug is suited for sealing unused ports in hydraulic manifolds, valve bodies, cylinders, and fluid power assemblies operating at up to 6,000 psi. The male straight thread O-ring configuration conforms to SAE standard 090109B, making it compatible with SAE straight thread O-ring boss ports commonly found in industrial and mobile hydraulic equipment. The compact overall length of 0.375 inches and 5/32-inch hex drive keep the installed profile low in tight assemblies.

Installation is performed by qualified hydraulic technicians or fluid-power mechanics. Depressurize and isolate the hydraulic circuit completely before removing or installing any port plug. Verify that the O-ring is present, undamaged, and properly seated before threading the plug into the port. Use a calibrated hex key of the correct size and do not overtighten, as the O-ring face seal does not require high torque to achieve a leak-free connection.
