The PARKER 3/8 MRO-S is a zinc-plated steel street tee fitting designed for industrial pipe assemblies requiring high-pressure fluid or air distribution. It combines a 3/8 inch male NPTF thread on one end with 3/8 inch female NPTF threads on the branch and run, allowing a straight-through flow path with a perpendicular branch takeoff in a compact, single-piece body. Rated to 4,500 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting is suited for demanding hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation applications. The zinc plating provides baseline corrosion resistance in moderate-duty environments. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this component.
This street tee is used in industrial and commercial piping systems where space is limited and a tee connection must be made without an additional nipple. Typical applications include compressed air headers, hydraulic manifold branches, lubrication systems, and general fluid-power plumbing. The NPTF thread standard ensures a pressure-tight mechanical seal through thread interference rather than relying solely on sealant, making it appropriate for high-pressure lines in manufacturing, processing, and mechanical equipment rooms.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for industrial pipe systems using 3/8 inch NPTF threaded connections rated for high-pressure service.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or qualified industrial maintenance technician. De-energize and fully depressurize the system before removing or installing any fittings. NPTF threads are designed to seal through thread interference, but thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the working pressure and fluid type may be applied per shop standards and applicable codes. Do not overtighten, as steel NPTF fittings are susceptible to thread deformation if excessive torque is applied.
