The PARKER 3/8 GG-S is a straight industrial pipe coupling designed for high-pressure fluid and pneumatic systems. Built from zinc-plated steel, it provides corrosion resistance in demanding service environments. The fitting uses female National Pipe Taper Fuel (FNPTF) threads on both ends and is rated to a maximum working pressure of 6,000 psi, making it suitable for hydraulic lines, compressed air systems, and other high-pressure piping applications. It ships as a single unit and is a direct-connect, inline coupling with no reducing or elbow geometry. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic technicians are the typical installers.
This coupling is used in industrial, commercial, and heavy-duty trade applications where reliable threaded connections are required at elevated pressures. The straight FNPTF configuration allows two female-threaded pipe runs to be joined end to end. Its compact overall length of 1.125 inches and 7/8-inch hex keep it manageable in tight installations. It is appropriate for use in hydraulic power units, compressed air distribution, lubrication systems, and similar piping assemblies where a robust metal fitting is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install fitting for industrial piping systems using 3/8-inch FNPTF threaded connections rated to 6,000 psi.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or qualified hydraulic technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape compatible with the system fluid before assembly. Tighten using a wrench on the hex flats only; do not over-torque, and follow applicable piping codes such as ASME B31 or the applicable IPC sections for the system type.
