The PARKER 3/4 X 1/4 PTR-S is a straight pipe bushing designed to reduce a 3/4-inch male NPTF thread down to a 1/4-inch female NPTF thread in hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial fluid-line systems. Constructed from zinc-plated steel, it is rated for a maximum working pressure of 5,500 psi, making it suitable for demanding pressure applications. The 1-3/16-inch overall length and 1-1/8-inch hex size allow for standard wrench installation in tight plumbing configurations. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic system technicians routinely install this fitting when adapting between different pipe sizes in steel-pipe assemblies.
This bushing is used in industrial fluid-power systems, hydraulic machinery, pneumatic plumbing, and commercial pipe installations where a 3/4-inch port or line must be stepped down to a 1/4-inch connection. The MNPTF x FNPTF thread configuration provides a pressure-tight mechanical seal without a separate sealant in many applications, though thread-sealant tape or compound is commonly applied per system requirements. It is suited for both new construction and retrofit or repair work on existing iron or steel pipe systems.
Designed as a standard MNPTF x FNPTF pipe bushing for use in steel pipe systems requiring a reduction from 3/4-inch to 1/4-inch NPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, plumber, or hydraulic technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any pipe fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads as required by the system media and applicable plumbing codes. Do not over-torque the fitting; use a backup wrench on the mating port to avoid stressing adjacent components.
