The PARKER 2GF-3 is a copper flared tube gasket designed to create a leak-free seal at 45-degree flare connections in tubing systems. With a 3/16-inch tube outside diameter, this gasket seats between mating flare fittings to prevent fluid or gas bypass under pressure. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 1900 psi and a maximum working temperature of 250 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding hydraulic, refrigeration, and fluid-power applications. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system technicians are the primary installers of this component in both residential and commercial service work.
This gasket is used wherever 45-degree SAE flare connections require a reliable copper sealing element. Typical applications include refrigerant lines, hydraulic tubing assemblies, fuel lines, and compressed-air systems where flare fittings conforming to SAE J512 and SAE J513 standards are specified. The copper material conforms well to machined flare seats, compensating for minor surface irregularities and maintaining a consistent seal under thermal cycling and vibration. It is sold individually but subject to a minimum order quantity of 5 units.
Designed for use with 45-degree SAE flare tube fittings conforming to SAE J512 and SAE J513 standards at a 3/16-inch tube outside diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician, plumber, or hydraulic technician. Before replacing or installing this gasket, depressurize the system completely and recover any refrigerant in accordance with applicable EPA and local regulations. Seat the gasket squarely against the flare face before tightening the flare nut to avoid cocking or deformation. Do not reuse a previously compressed copper gasket, as repeated compression degrades the sealing surface.
