The PARKER 2C is a threaded pneumatic hose coupling connector designed for compressed air systems that follow the Tru-Flate Automotive interchange standard. Built from steel with a zinc chromate finish, this connector features a 1/4-18 MNPT thread and a 1/4 inch body diameter. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 300 psi and a temperature range of -40 to 250 degrees F. The compact overall length of 1.62 inches and 0.56 inch hex size make it straightforward to install and torque with standard hand tools. HVAC technicians, industrial maintenance mechanics, and pneumatic system installers commonly work with fittings in this class.
The PARKER 2C connector is suited for residential and light commercial compressed air supply lines, pneumatic tool connections, and shop air distribution systems where the Tru-Flate Automotive interchange standard is in use. It connects via a threaded MNPT interface, making it compatible with common NPT-tapped ports on air compressors, manifolds, blow guns, and pneumatic tools. The zinc chromate finish provides corrosion resistance in typical shop and mechanical room environments. Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with pneumatic systems. Depressurize and lock out the air supply before removing or installing any coupling component. Apply thread sealant tape or paste to the MNPT threads per standard practice, and tighten using a wrench on the hex flats — do not grip the body. Verify there are no leaks at operating pressure before returning the system to service.
