The PARKER 2BLP2-B is a compression-style tube plug designed to seal the open end of a compression tube fitting or tubing run. Machined from brass, this plug accepts 1/8-inch outside diameter tubing and is rated to a maximum working pressure of 3600 psi, making it suitable for demanding pneumatic and fluid system applications. It is installed by threading onto an existing compression fitting body or directly into a compression port, providing a leak-tight termination without the need for solder or pipe dope. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and instrumentation fitters use this type of plug to cap unused ports during system testing, modification, or staged installation.
This compression tube plug is suited for use in residential and light commercial pneumatic lines, instrument tubing, refrigeration sensing lines, and hydraulic control circuits where 1/8-inch OD tubing is present. Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with compression fittings and system pressure ratings. Hand-tighten the plug onto the compression fitting body first, then advance with a wrench per standard compression fitting practice — do not overtighten, as this can damage the ferrule or fitting body. Verify system integrity with a pressure test after installation before returning the circuit to service.
